SoundSend Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 25, 2026
Last Updated: July 25, 2026
SoundSend is operated by Christian Michael Tadros, an individual doing business as SoundSend (“SoundSend,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use:
- the SoundSend iPhone application;
- the SoundSend extension for Apple Messages;
- SoundSend Player and Universal Audio delivery features;
- SoundDiscover, public creator profiles, public sounds, public SoundBoards, saving, blocking, reporting, and moderation features;
- the SoundSend website at
soundsend.app; and - support, privacy, copyright, security, marketing, and other communications with us.
This Privacy Policy applies only to information processed by or on behalf of SoundSend. Apple, Google, Cloudflare, Supabase, and other third parties may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
1. Privacy at a glance
SoundSend is designed to be local-first, but some features require cloud processing.
- Sounds, SoundBoards, preferences, indexes, and playback files may be stored locally on your device.
- A personal upload is not made public merely because you import it or add it to a SoundBoard.
- When you use cloud-backed storage, SoundSend Player, or community publishing, SoundSend may upload and process audio and related metadata through our service providers.
- Publishing to the community is a separate action. Public content can be viewed, played, saved, organized, and sent by other users through supported SoundSend features.
- SoundSend does not display advertising in the app.
- SoundSend does not use an in-app analytics SDK and does not use personal information for cross-app tracking.
- The SoundSend website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics for website measurement. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar browser storage.
- SoundSend does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- You may initiate permanent account deletion in the released app through Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Reauthentication or reconfirmation is required.
2. Information that remains on your device
SoundSend may store the following information locally in the app’s storage or shared App Group container:
- imported and installed audio files;
- SoundBoards, board order, dividers, names, icons, and organization choices;
- sound titles, icons, waveforms, pinned state, and other library metadata;
- downloaded or cached community audio and artwork;
- settings, delivery preferences, appearance preferences, and feature state;
- temporary conversion and outgoing-message files; and
- recovery, migration, corruption-backup, and repair information.
Information processed only on your device is not collected by SoundSend unless it is transmitted to us or a service provider through a feature you choose to use. Deleting the app generally removes app-local information in accordance with iOS behavior, but copies sent to other people, stored by Apple, stored in device backups, or downloaded to another device are outside our control.
3. Information we collect or process
3.1 Account and authentication information
When you sign in with Apple or create a SoundSend account, we may process:
- the account identifier Apple provides;
- your email address, including an Apple private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email”;
- your name if Apple provides it and you choose to share it;
- a Supabase authentication identifier;
- session, authentication, sign-in, and security information;
- records of account creation, deletion, and acceptance of applicable policies; and
- age or eligibility confirmations presented by SoundSend.
We do not receive your Apple ID password.
3.2 Private uploads and private-library metadata
When you use cloud-backed personal audio features, we may process:
- the audio file you selected;
- the original filename and the title displayed in SoundSend;
- duration, file extension, MIME type, and file size;
- a cryptographic content hash used for integrity, upload consistency, and duplicate handling;
- icons, waveform information, timestamps, and upload status;
- internal identifiers and storage paths; and
- deletion, synchronization, retry, and error state.
Private uploads are intended to remain available only to you unless you separately send or publish them. SoundSend uses access controls intended to isolate each user’s private uploads.
3.3 SoundSend Player and Apple Messages activity
When you choose SoundSend Player, SoundSend may create a message-specific sharing capability associated with a private upload. We may process:
- a sound identifier and share identifier;
- a cryptographic hash of the share token;
- creation, revocation, expiration if configured, and last-accessed timestamps;
- the authenticated account information needed to authorize a recipient’s playback request;
- technical request and security information; and
- short-lived audio-access links used to complete playback or download.
The message capability may remain available until the sender deletes the sound or account, revokes the share, or SoundSend disables it for security, legal, or policy reasons. A short-lived audio-access link may expire much sooner than the underlying message capability.
SoundSend does not intentionally collect the text of your Apple Messages conversations, your address book, or your general Messages history through the Messages extension. Apple processes message composition and delivery under Apple’s own terms. A recipient may retain, cache, record, forward, or otherwise copy audio they receive, and SoundSend cannot remotely erase copies outside SoundSend’s control.
When you use Universal Audio, the selected audio is handed to Apple Messages as a standard audio attachment. Apple, the recipient, and the recipient’s device may retain that attachment independently of SoundSend.
3.4 Public profile and community information
If you create a public profile or publish community content, we may collect and display:
- username, display name, biography, profile image, and profile status;
- public sound audio, title, description, duration, icon, artwork, and publication status;
- public SoundBoard name, description, artwork, ordered items, and sound count;
- saves, blocks, reports, and other community relationships supported by the released app;
- play, save, and other aggregate engagement counts;
- featured, trending, scheduling, or editorial information;
- moderation status, restriction history, reasons, and appeal information; and
- timestamps and internal identifiers.
Public profile information and published content are visible to other SoundSend users and may appear in search, discovery, recommendations, editorial collections, or featured surfaces within SoundSend. Public content may be saved to other users’ libraries and sent through supported SoundSend features. Unpublishing or deleting content stops new access through SoundSend after processing, but it does not retrieve copies already sent, cached, recorded, or downloaded by others.
SoundSend does not offer creator-following as a public-launch feature unless the released app clearly states otherwise.
3.5 Reports, moderation, copyright, and appeals
When you report content, submit a copyright notice, appeal a moderation decision, or contact us about safety, we may process:
- your account and contact information;
- the reported account or content identifiers;
- the category, explanation, attachments, and evidence you provide;
- correspondence with you, the affected user, moderators, advisers, or authorities;
- moderation decisions, reasons, internal notes, and timestamps; and
- records used to identify repeated or serious violations.
Copyright notices and counter-notices may contain legally required contact information and may be shared with the affected uploader or complaining party as described in the Copyright and User-Upload Policy.
3.6 Purchase and entitlement information
SoundSend Pro is offered through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes payment-card and billing information. SoundSend may receive or process:
- the product identifier;
- transaction and original-transaction identifiers;
- purchase, refund, revocation, and restore status;
- entitlement status; and
- limited storefront, currency, or transaction metadata Apple makes available.
SoundSend does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
3.7 Support and other communications
When you contact us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, and other contact details you provide;
- app version, iOS version, device model, screenshots, files, or error text you choose to send;
- the contents of your request and our response; and
- information needed to investigate, resolve, document, or follow up on the matter.
Do not send passwords, Apple verification codes, private share tokens, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or other information that is not needed for support.
3.8 Marketing communications
If you affirmatively opt in, we may use your email address and preference records to send SoundSend news, launch announcements, feature updates, offers, or similar marketing communications. You may unsubscribe through the link in a marketing email or by contacting [email protected].
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending non-promotional messages that are necessary to provide or secure the service, respond to you, administer purchases, or communicate important legal or account information.
3.9 Technical, security, and diagnostic information
SoundSend and its service providers may process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, including:
- app and website version;
- operating system, browser, device type, and language;
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP address;
- request time, response status, network and server logs;
- authentication and security events;
- upload, playback, delivery, and function errors;
- abuse-prevention signals and rate-limit information; and
- diagnostic information Apple makes available to developers based on a user’s Apple settings.
SoundSend does not include a third-party analytics or advertising SDK in the iPhone app at launch. Operational logs are used for service delivery, security, debugging, fraud prevention, and abuse response rather than advertising or cross-app tracking.
3.10 Website analytics, cookies, and similar technologies
The SoundSend website may use the following technologies:
Cloudflare. Cloudflare provides website hosting, content delivery, DNS, security, and network services. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request headers, security signals, and traffic metadata to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregated website and performance measurement and is designed to operate without cookies or individual visitor tracking.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and improve the website. Google Analytics may collect first-party cookie identifiers, browser and device information, approximate geolocation, referring pages, pages viewed, session statistics, and website interactions. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses, although IP addresses may be processed to provide the service and derive approximate location.
Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager may be used to deploy or manage website measurement tags. The tags loaded through it are governed by the disclosures applicable to those tags.
Where consent is required by law, non-essential analytics technologies should not be activated until the visitor provides the required consent. You can also restrict cookies through browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies may reduce measurement accuracy but should not prevent basic access to the public website.
We do not use Google Analytics advertising features, Google Signals, or analytics data for targeted advertising. We do not send names, email addresses, audio, private account data, or other directly identifying user content to Google Analytics.
4. How we obtain information
We obtain information:
- directly from you when you import, upload, publish, save, report, purchase, contact us, or change settings;
- automatically from the app, website, and service infrastructure when you use a cloud-backed feature;
- from Apple when you use Sign in with Apple, Apple Messages, the App Store, in-app purchases, or Apple-provided diagnostics;
- from other users when they report your content, send you a SoundSend message, or interact with public content; and
- from service providers that help us operate, secure, measure, and support SoundSend.
5. How we use information
We may use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve SoundSend;
- authenticate users and maintain account sessions;
- import, validate, convert, store, synchronize, and play audio;
- create and resolve user-directed SoundSend Player shares;
- deliver public community audio and artwork;
- create and display public profiles, sounds, SoundBoards, saves, and engagement counts;
- process SoundSend Pro purchases and restore eligible entitlements;
- respond to support, privacy, security, copyright, and legal requests;
- review reports, moderate content, enforce policies, and administer appeals;
- detect fraud, infringement, spam, abuse, security incidents, and attempts to bypass limits;
- diagnose errors and maintain service reliability;
- analyze public-website traffic and performance;
- send marketing communications when you opt in;
- comply with law, court orders, and valid government requests;
- protect the rights, safety, and property of users, SoundSend, service providers, and the public; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We may create aggregate or de-identified information that is not reasonably linkable to an individual and use it for legitimate operational, security, and product purposes.
6. How we disclose information
6.1 At your direction or to the audience you select
We disclose information when you direct us to do so, including when you:
- publish a profile, sound, SoundBoard, artwork, or metadata;
- send audio through Apple Messages;
- save or otherwise interact with public content;
- submit a report or appeal; or
- ask us to share information with another person or service.
Public information can be seen and copied by other people. Audio sent to a recipient can remain on the recipient’s device even after you delete your account or source upload.
6.2 Service providers
We use service providers to perform functions on our behalf. They may process information only as needed to provide contracted services, comply with law, and protect their systems. Current categories include:
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution, in-app purchases, Apple Messages, device services, optional developer diagnostics, and iCloud-hosted SoundSend email;
- Supabase and its infrastructure providers: authentication, database, private and public file storage, server functions, access controls, and operational logs;
- Cloudflare: website hosting, DNS, content delivery, security, request processing, and Cloudflare Web Analytics;
- Google: Google Analytics and, if enabled, Google Tag Manager for website measurement;
- authorized moderators, contractors, and professional advisers: support, safety review, legal compliance, accounting, and related operations.
The SoundSend Supabase project is hosted in the United States. Providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they or their subprocessors operate.
6.3 Legal, safety, and enforcement disclosures
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, legal process, subpoenas, court orders, or valid government requests;
- investigate or respond to copyright, privacy, fraud, security, abuse, or safety matters;
- enforce our Terms of Use and related policies;
- protect users, SoundSend, providers, or the public from harm;
- report apparent child sexual exploitation or other conduct when required or permitted by law; or
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
6.4 Business changes
If SoundSend is involved in a financing, sale, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of assets, information may be reviewed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
6.5 No sale, targeted advertising, or cross-app tracking
SoundSend does not sell personal information. SoundSend does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, does not display third-party advertising in the app, and does not use personal information for cross-app tracking.
7. Content hashes and duplicate handling
SoundSend may generate cryptographic hashes of normalized audio. A content hash is a mathematical identifier derived from a file; it is not intended to reconstruct the audio by itself. We may use hashes to verify file integrity, avoid unnecessary duplicate storage, identify technical mismatches, and support security or copyright operations.
Private records remain associated with their respective owners even if identical normalized audio exists. Public audio assets may be technically deduplicated while retaining separate creator records, attribution, publication status, and ownership claims.
8. Data retention
We retain information according to its purpose, account state, legal obligations, and operational needs rather than promising a single fixed period for every category.
- Account and private-upload information: generally retained while your account or upload remains active and as needed to provide requested cloud features.
- Public content: generally available until you unpublish it, delete it, delete your account, or SoundSend removes it.
- Private message shares: generally retained while the associated share remains valid. A share may remain valid until the sender deletes the sound or account, revokes the share, or SoundSend disables it.
- Cached or downloaded content: may remain on a user’s device until removed by that user, the app, or the operating system.
- Purchase and entitlement records: retained as needed to validate, restore, refund, revoke, prevent fraud, and comply with accounting or legal requirements. Apple independently retains transaction records under its policies.
- Reports, moderation history, and appeals: retained as reasonably necessary to enforce policies, identify repeated violations, protect users, conduct audits, administer appeals, and establish or defend claims.
- Copyright notices and counter-notices: retained as reasonably necessary to administer the notice-and-takedown process, document repeat infringement, and comply with law.
- Support and privacy correspondence: retained until the matter is resolved and for a reasonable follow-up, security, documentation, or legal period.
- Security and infrastructure logs: retained under SoundSend’s and its providers’ operational security schedules.
- Marketing preferences: retained while you are subscribed and as needed to maintain an unsubscribe or suppression record.
- Backups: deleted information may persist temporarily in encrypted or access-controlled backups until the ordinary backup-rotation cycle completes. Backups are not restored except for disaster recovery or comparable operational needs.
We may retain information longer when reasonably necessary to comply with law, preserve evidence, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, protect safety, or defend legal rights.
9. Account and content deletion
In the released app, you may initiate account deletion through:
Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account
SoundSend requires reconfirmation or reauthentication before deletion. Account deletion is intended to:
- permanently delete the Supabase authentication account;
- delete private cloud uploads and revoke associated private shares;
- remove saves, blocks, and other account relationships;
- remove public sounds and public SoundBoards from availability;
- anonymize and disable the public creator profile; and
- remove or de-identify other account information unless retention is reasonably necessary for legal, security, moderation, fraud-prevention, or audit purposes.
Moderation records, copyright records, and limited nonpublic audit history may be retained after account deletion. SoundSend cannot erase audio or metadata already delivered to another person, copied outside SoundSend, included in a recipient’s Apple Messages history, cached or downloaded on another device, or retained by a third party under its own lawful basis.
Deleting the app from a device is not the same as deleting a SoundSend account. Deleting an account does not automatically request a refund from Apple.
You may also contact [email protected] for deletion or privacy assistance.
10. Security
SoundSend uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including authentication, access controls, row-level database policies, private storage, short-lived delivery links, cryptographic token hashing, encrypted network transport, and restricted administrative access.
No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your Apple account, device passcode, and access to your signed-in device. Do not share private message capabilities, authentication codes, or credentials with people you do not trust.
Report suspected security issues to [email protected]. Do not publicly disclose a vulnerability before we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address it.
11. International processing and availability
SoundSend is operated from Florida, United States, and its primary cloud infrastructure is located in the United States. Information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.
The SoundSend mobile app is not initially distributed through European Union App Store storefronts. Website access from another jurisdiction does not necessarily mean SoundSend offers the full service there. If you access SoundSend from outside the United States, you are responsible for ensuring that your use is lawful, and any non-waivable rights available under local law remain unaffected.
12. Children’s privacy
SoundSend is not directed to children under 13, and people under 13 may not create an account, publish content, or use cloud-backed SoundSend features.
If you are at least 13 but have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, use SoundSend only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it and terminate the associated account.
A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 provided information to SoundSend may contact [email protected].
13. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on the feature and your location, you may be able to:
- choose whether to sign in or use cloud-backed features;
- choose whether to publish a profile, sound, SoundBoard, or artwork;
- edit or remove public profile information and public content;
- delete private uploads;
- manage local downloads and caches;
- block creators and report content;
- initiate permanent account deletion;
- unsubscribe from marketing emails;
- restrict website cookies through browser or consent controls; and
- request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of applicable personal information.
Residents of some U.S. states may have rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. SoundSend does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Where applicable, you may appeal a denied privacy request by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authority and identity verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Some information may be exempt from a request or may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, or operational reasons.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when SoundSend, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. If a change materially affects how we use previously collected information, we will provide additional notice or request consent when required by law.
