SoundSend Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: July 25, 2026
Last Updated: July 25, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to every use of SoundSend, including local features, private cloud uploads, SoundSend Player, Universal Audio, public profiles, community content, the website, support channels, and attempts to access SoundSend systems.

This AUP is incorporated into the SoundSend Terms of Use. Public community activity must also comply with the Community Guidelines.

1. Use SoundSend lawfully and responsibly

You may use SoundSend only for lawful purposes, through supported features, and in a way that does not infringe rights, harm others, compromise security, or materially interfere with the Service.

You are responsible for the content you import, upload, send, publish, save, or otherwise use.

2. Rights and permissions

You may not upload, store, send, or publish material unless you have the rights and permissions required for the selected use.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights infringement;
  • unauthorized distribution of recordings, music, artwork, or confidential material;
  • nonconsensual private recordings;
  • removing attribution or rights information;
  • re-uploading official or community content as your own; and
  • using another person’s voice, identity, likeness, or brand without authorization.

The Copyright and User-Upload Policy governs copyright notices and counter-notices.

3. Harmful or unlawful use

You may not use SoundSend to:

  • threaten, stalk, harass, bully, intimidate, or exploit another person;
  • promote or facilitate violence, terrorism, trafficking, or serious criminal activity;
  • create, possess, solicit, or distribute child sexual abuse material;
  • groom, sexually exploit, or endanger a minor;
  • encourage suicide, self-harm, or dangerous conduct;
  • distribute nonconsensual intimate material;
  • expose private or sensitive personal information;
  • facilitate fraud, theft, extortion, impersonation, or identity theft;
  • sell or facilitate unlawful goods or services;
  • violate sanctions, export controls, court orders, or other applicable law; or
  • create an unreasonable risk of physical, financial, reputational, or psychological harm.

4. Messaging abuse

Do not use SoundSend Player, Universal Audio, or Apple Messages integration for:

  • unsolicited bulk messages;
  • repeated unwanted sounds;
  • threats or harassment;
  • deceptive emergency, financial, legal, or identity claims;
  • phishing or malicious links;
  • evading a recipient’s block or request to stop;
  • automated or coordinated messaging; or
  • any content you are not authorized to send.

You are responsible for selecting the intended conversation and recipient. SoundSend cannot recall a message or erase a recipient’s copy.

5. Security and system integrity

You may not:

  • bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, row-level security, storage policies, signed links, share tokens, moderation, purchases, or account restrictions;
  • access or attempt to access another user’s account, private audio, reports, administrative systems, or nonpublic data;
  • probe, scan, test, or exploit a vulnerability without prior written authorization;
  • intercept traffic or extract credentials, tokens, keys, or private URLs;
  • upload malware, corrupted payloads, hostile code, or files intended to exploit parsers or devices;
  • disrupt, overload, degrade, or interfere with SoundSend or a provider;
  • defeat rate limits, duration limits, storage limits, content checks, or file validation;
  • use modified clients or unauthorized interfaces to access the Service;
  • reverse engineer or decompile the Service except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits; or
  • assist another person in doing any of the above.

Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to [email protected]. A report does not authorize testing that would access user data, disrupt service, or violate law.

6. Automation, scraping, and manipulation

Without prior written permission, you may not:

  • scrape or bulk-download profiles, audio, artwork, metadata, or engagement information;
  • use bots or scripts to create accounts, upload content, play sounds, save content, submit reports, or manipulate rankings;
  • build a dataset, model, search engine, competing service, or content archive from SoundSend;
  • harvest usernames or contact information;
  • automate access in a way that exceeds normal human use;
  • falsify play, save, popularity, or moderation signals; or
  • evade technical controls through multiple accounts, devices, addresses, or intermediaries.

Public availability does not grant permission to scrape or reuse content outside supported SoundSend features.

7. Fraud, purchases, and entitlements

You may not:

  • use stolen or unauthorized payment methods;
  • falsify receipts or transaction information;
  • interfere with StoreKit or Apple purchase validation;
  • share, sell, or transfer an entitlement except through an Apple-supported feature;
  • abuse refunds, chargebacks, or restore-purchase mechanisms;
  • misrepresent eligibility for SoundSend Pro; or
  • circumvent the free or paid upload limit.

SoundSend may suspend an entitlement that Apple refunds, revokes, or identifies as invalid.

8. Spam, deception, and impersonation

You may not:

  • impersonate another person, organization, SoundSend staff member, or rights holder;
  • misrepresent authorship, affiliation, verification, sponsorship, or endorsement;
  • operate phishing, scam, fake-support, or credential-harvesting activity;
  • publish deceptive metadata or artwork;
  • use synthetic or cloned voices to cause harmful confusion;
  • submit false copyright, safety, or moderation reports;
  • send unsolicited promotional material; or
  • create replacement accounts to evade enforcement.

Parody and satire are not prohibited merely because they imitate a person, but they must not be deceptive, infringing, harassing, or otherwise unlawful.

9. Limits and fair use of resources

SoundSend may enforce reasonable limits on:

  • audio duration;
  • supported formats and file size;
  • the number of personal uploads;
  • storage and bandwidth;
  • public publications;
  • playback and signed-link requests;
  • saves, reports, and other actions; and
  • account, device, or network activity.

Limits may vary between free and paid features and may change for security, reliability, cost, or abuse prevention. You may not circumvent them.

10. Enforcement

SoundSend may investigate suspected violations and may:

  • block or reject a file;
  • revoke a share;
  • remove or restrict content;
  • limit functionality;
  • invalidate sessions;
  • suspend or terminate an account;
  • preserve relevant records;
  • notify affected users or rights holders;
  • cooperate with providers or authorities; or
  • pursue other lawful remedies.

Urgent safety, security, child-protection, fraud, or legal matters may be acted on without advance notice.

11. Reporting violations

Use in-app reporting when available.

  • Abuse and moderation: [email protected]
  • Copyright: [email protected]
  • Privacy: [email protected]
  • Security: [email protected]
  • General support: [email protected]

Do not use reporting channels for spam, retaliation, or knowingly false allegations.

12. Changes

SoundSend may update this AUP to address new features, threats, abuse patterns, provider requirements, or law. The current version will identify its effective date.
